Check Price on Amazon
Bowflex shot to popularity in the late 1990s when their Power Rod Technology reinvented the home gym forever. Power Rod Technology allows for immense levels of resistance, much more than traditional weight stack-based models, and provided a challenge to muscle groups more akin to using free weights. It’s that time of year again as the calendar has flipped to a new year. We all know what the New Year means to most people; it’s time to get serious about dieting and losing weight! Arguably the most common New Year’s resolution revolves around healthier living. For many people that means healthier eating habits, but for the vast majority that resolution is going to involve hitting the gym more often.
There are two big problems that come along with this popular resolution though. First and foremost, with so many people committed to healthier living the local gym becomes the most crowded place in town. That gets frustrating quickly for newcomers and long-time members alike. Secondly, the desire to make time in the day for driving to the gym and fighting for a machine quickly dwindles in many folks.
The Bowflex Blaze comes standard with an adjustable flat bench, leg extension position, lat pull-down bar, and 210lbs of resistance. Any exercise is an option with a Bowflex. The flat bench allows for traditional bench press, incline press, and even military press routines. It doesn’t stop there however, with various other routines available for the back, shoulders, arms, core, and lower body. In fact the Blaze offers up over 60 different exercises in one machine as well as the option to expand the resistance to 310 or 410lbs.

Instead of just throwing together a catalog of every piece of home gym equipment available, we’ve sorted the garbage from the quality pieces of gym equipment and put them all in one place. More reviews are added every month.
Best Home Gym Equipment | Free Weights or Machines?
For healthy adults, free weights are generally considered the best and most versatile pieces of home gym equipment you can buy. Free weights put more stress on the smaller stabilizing muscles surrounding the larger muscle groups, and therefore can build muscle faster than machines. However, machines have their place and are especially useful for older people and those doing rehab work. No matter what kind of home gym equipment you’re looking for, there’s a good chance we’ve reviewed it here.
The Benefits of Home Gym Equipment
For many people, getting to a commercial gym is a problem and a hassle. Home gym fitness equipment can allow you to save a ton of time and help you stay consistent with your exercise routine. Home Fitness Equipment For Any Budget
We understand that not everyone is trying to put together their own health club at home, which is why our home fitness equipment reviews range from the best inexpensive home gym equipment, all the way up to some of the best home fitness equipment you can buy. Generally, our home fitness equipment recommendations will usually be the best mix between price and performance that will complement even the best home gym equipment.
Which Home Gym Equipment Is The Most Important?
Not all home gym equipment is created equal. There is a lot of marketing and a lot of pseudo-science to make you believe that the latest elliptical bodyweight super core exercise machines are actually good for you and the only way to train. Well here is a little secret: People were getting big and strong and fit and healthy long before the latest plug and play fitness nonsense. In many cases you’d get fitter by buying a vacuum cleaner and using it… and unfortunately, that isn’t a joke. Home gym equipment needs to be bought for a purpose, not for show.
Home gym equipment such as a compact multi gym, for example, could be great news or a waste of time. Many people quickly get bored sitting in one place doing everything. For others, it is a godsend as the better home gym systems have literally everything you need in one place. This is perfect for those without a lot of space, who are there to work and appreciate the efficiency. In some cases, it is the only home gym equipment that you need.
The total home gym should work the whole body in a variety of ways. This doesn’t mean a dozen different machines are required. A good multi gym and a tough barbell with enough weight are perfect. As abdominal exercise equipment goes, a chin up bar for leg raises or an ab wheel is perfect. A multi gym workout routine incorporating barbell exercise will cover all the bases without a doubt. Most home exercise equipment, again, is a waste of your time and money. Remember the body only really moves a few select ways. The rest is simply there to confuse you and make you spend more on exercise equipment. If your home gym equipment doesn’t make you push, pull or consciously contract your muscles hard, you don’t need it.
How to Choose The Best Home Gym Equipment?
It is not an important fact where you do your workout, but it is more important fact whether you get full body workout or not. As an expert I would like to suggest you to focus on your workout routine to choose the home gym equipment and make sure that you can do total body workout effectively. It is an easy way to purchase right gym equipment which are actually needed when you purchase them according to your workouts and this will make sure that you are not purchasing wrong equipment.
First we need to setup our workout routine. As an professional I always try to use my knowledge and experience when I decide to make a workout routine and try to include full body workout plan.
Must-Know Facts About Gym Workout Routine
Over the internet there has a lot of workout routine. Before stating this article I read some of them and they are like 4 weeks, 6 weeks or even more weeks workout routine. Those are really hard to follow and maintain them a long period for repetition. But I think gym is not a such thing to plan harder and getting frustration in the middle. We should think about it as simply as possible. I mean to say it’s a routinely task and need repetition in weekly basis like our other works.
A big psychological problem always happens within the beginners mind. They want to build muscle within 4 weeks or 6 weeks by following those long term workout routine. In the middle when they realize their muscle isn’t buildup within those days. They become frustrated and losing their hope. So they stop their workout with blaming themselves, body building is not possible by them.

On the other hand, you should be aware about your diet plan. You may be too fatty or too skinny that does not matter. A healthy diet plan and adequate workout can change everything. So I will discuss about a healthy diet plan later in this article.

Diet Plan
Every strength training burns fat fast and builds lean muscle. So, we need to eat extra amount of protein to build our muscle properly. However majority of us has two types of wish. Some of us wants to be slim and others wish to gain mass.
Weight Gaining Diet Plan
It is obvious, you must eat more food than before but you should be tricky to do so. First of all think about how much do you eat every day? Is it a huge amount? If so, than you should go to your consultant because there may be any problem within your absorption process. If not so, than you should follow the steps below.
- Don’t drink much water before and in the middle of your meal (Important: Because your stomach size is almost fixed. If you dink water much before and in the middle of your meal, water will occupy you stomach). Drink a huge amount of water after your meal (Important: This can increase your stomach size and will make you more capable to eat more).
- Increase you eating frequency and amount slowly from meal to meal.
- Try to eat easily absorbed protein diet like egg. I personally prefer egg because it contains all essential amino acids necessary for your body.
- High protein supplements: all most every body builder likes this, because supplements are easily available, absorbed quickly, contain high protein and also help to build muscle quickly.
Weight loss Diet Plan
If you wanna loss weight, you should emphasize cardio and abs workouts. Besides this, you should maintain a proper diet plan.
