I’m making this Fitbit Flex review page so you can see my experience with this awesome pedometer/wrist tracker. Hopefully, through reading this Fitbit review page, you’ll understand why I love this product so much.
I’m majorly into fitness, and have been for most of my life, and hopefully this Fitbit review page can help you decide, based on my personal experience with it, whether or not it will be a good fit for you.
If you find this Fitbit review page helpful, then feel free to share it with your friends.
I’ll start off by saying that the price is pretty impressive. It seems like nowadays, fitness electronics are getting more and more expensive because they’re designed a lot better, and based on what I’ve seen, I would have to agree.
I’m including my approval of the price in this Fitbit review, because it’s just under $100, and for a product this good and everything it offers, it’s one heck of a deal in my book.
Accuracy, Performance, And Build Quality
I’m a pretty good judge when it comes to testing out fitness electronics and understanding the quality of an item I’ve purchased. It’s not rocket science, of course, but I still feel like I’m sort of a “natural” when it comes to understanding electronically based devices. I tend to know pretty quickly whether or not I’m using a quality item.
In this Fitbit Flex review, I have to say this IS a high quality item, and the accuracy of the pedometer is SPOT ON. Even when I go for a ride in a car, it only records an extra 30 steps, so it’s intelligent enough to know that riding in a car with bumps isn’t walking.
Also, unless I’m waving my hands around like a maniac, regular “run of the mill” movements don’t induce extra step or distance recording either.
The build quality is also top of the line, and I trust this company very much. It’s important to note in this Fitbit review page that I’ve owned my Fitbit for going on 2 years now, and it hasn’t malfunctioned a single time!

Why I Like this Pedometer More Than Others I’ve Tried
I’ve used many other different pedometers before, and I’ve gotten to test their abilities out extensively.
I initially started with one of the under $10 pedometers when I first started running and walking about 10 years ago.
Of course, it wasn’t all that accurate, and I felt like it wasn’t really worth the purchase. But as time went on, and the technologies for pedometers available improved, I found and purchased newly designed pedometers that worked just a little bit better than the previous ones I owned.
Now, in the present day, I’m using the Fitbit Flex, and I’ve created this Fitbit review page to outline just how much I’ve enjoyed using this little “gem”.
Why do I like the Fitbit more than other pedometers? Not only because the build quality is great, because it really is, but also because it offers additional features that other pedometers don’t have! Below, in this Fitbit Flex review, I’ll outline the features and how they’ve “stacked up” to my expectations:
Fitbit Flex: Fitbit Flex Review Product Features and Benefits
Distance, Steps, Calories Burned, Time Active, Sleep Duration/Quality
Not only is the accuracy of the Fitbit Flex right on the money, but it’s also able to record my time active, which tells me how well I’m performing in terms of using my time wisely.
If I’m slacking off and not reaching my distance and steps made goals in a timely fashion, I can find ways to improve on that. And I have! I’ve used this information to reformulate my fitness plans so that I always reach my distance and steps made goals without time wasting.
Calories burned, distance, and steps made are all very accurate, with the device only missing a few steps here and there, which is to be expected with any pedometer, no matter how good it’s built.
Also, it lets me know my sleep patterns and whether I’m waking in the middle of the night. I’ve noticed this feature works really well, and I’ve caught the times when I’ve woken up to turn off the air conditioner, or to go to the restroom, or got up in the middle of the night to get something to eat.
I used that information to minimize wakeup times during the night. Such as not drinking fluids before bed, setting the air conditioner at a more acceptable temp, and eating before bed so I don’t get up to raid the fridge. My quality of sleep has definitely improved!
Syncs With My Android Smartphone Plus A Whole Lot More
Like most people, I own a really nice smartphone. The Fitbit Flex syncs right up to my Android phone and allows me to set fitness goals, milestones, and view statistical chart and graph data that tells me how I’m performing.
This pedometer also allows me to record my food consumption, weight, and weight changes, so I can create meal plans that don’t force me to gain any extra pounds.
Flashing Achievement Lights and Vibration Alerts
Being able to see with just a quick glance at how close I am to my daily fitness goal has been a major time saver. With each 20% of my daily fitness goal that I reach, the Fitbit will light up an additional light, for a total of 5 possible lights lit up. When I reach 100% of my daily steps goal, the Fitbit Flex goes WILD with flashing lights!
Also, a vibration wake alarm always wakes me only when it’s time to get up, and not my husband. This is a major plus for me, because my husbands job is the main source of income for our family.
Slim, Comfortable, Lightweight, and Water-Resistant
The only time I take my Fitbit Flex off is to recharge the battery, which needs to be done every 4-5 days. It takes only a few short hours to recharge, and it’s back to work 100%. It’s also water-proof, which allows me to keep it on in the shower and when swimming.
As far as overall comfort is concerned, it’s very light and feels nice, so much so that sometimes I forget that I have it on because I can’t feel it.
Community Goals and Getting My Friends Involved!
I think it’s helpful to note in this Fitbit Flex review page, just how interactive this device is. Through syncing this pedometer/wrist tracker, I was able to share my fitness stats and enlist my friends to create additional challenges.
Having friends that care enough to participate in helping me achieve better fitness has been a real blessing. Special thanks to Shaza, Tanya, and Erica!

Should I Buy the Fitbit Flex or Not?
Based on my over 2 years of trouble-free experience with this product, I would say YES! I’ve totally loved every second of using this pedometer. It’s lightweight, it’s accurate, and it comes with extra features that make it worth the asking price.
And, just so you know, the only reason I created this Fitbit review page was to share with you a product that works really well, and how using it could help you out a lot too!
